Type Terminology Look Book

I have spent the last three weeks completing a printable type terminology look book. This project started with experimenting with type pairings, color, and setting paragraph styles. I then moved on to creating covers to hold the look book that match the design system seen in my paragraph styles. My goal for this project was to create a design that I could see myself in, a little bright, a little grungy, a lot of fun! I think I definitely achieved this goal while simultaneously learning how to link text boxes, set paragraph styles, and overall just make my life as a designer so much easier! below you will find my progress through each part of this process!
In the pictures above you will find the first exercise of this project were I experimented with creating typographic hierarchy and contrast through different type pairings.
The pictures above are me experimenting with more finalized versions of how my type look book could be formatted.
Above you will find the finalized paragraph styles I chose for my look book and how it looks on the spread! The fonts I used were Gill Sans and Swear Display.
This is where you can see the cover designs I was experimenting with. I finally decided to go with the design on the left.
This is the final printed version of my look book with the cover included!
